Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, like a roller coaster that never stops to allow you to get your bearings and catch your breath. The good news is, that with that stress, comes opportunities to heal, grow, become more self-aware, and resilient! You have taken the first step in getting off that roller coaster to gain some much-needed perspective and self-care through choosing to get counseling! My job as a counselor is to actively listen to you, collaborate with you, and provide you with a safe environment to talk through the issues that are troubling you, so you get that perspective. I am looking forward to working with you, on building upon your current strengths, and teaching you some new coping skills to add to your repertoire.

I enjoy working with many different counseling needs. I specialize in mood issues, trauma, care-giver fatigue, working with individuals that are neuro-spicy, and/or working with those that have a co-existing serious medical issue. I have been trained to use various treatment approaches including Person-Centered, Solution- Focused, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy. I also like using body based skills, art therapy or play therapy techniques at times when language may not be sufficient.

As a person, I enjoy humor, travel, art, hoarding plants, home improvement projects, hand crafts, and vintage cars.
